quarantine queen

does anyone else blink and the whole day is gone??

I am just sitting down to write this and can’t believe it’s 7pm… and I’ve spent all of my day in front of a computer without writing a single word for my blog!

I like to keep it real with you, so I’ll be honest that today I did not know what to write.

I have 25 emails flagged to respond to, 12 unread, and tons of comments to reply to on social.

I have posts to write, people to text back, and did 7 Zoom video calls today.

I can’t wait to go online and interact with the beautiful humans taking my mindfulness course (oooo and I opened registration for May TODAY!! Check it out here.)

I built a beautiful website for Brian’s anniversary gift (please go take a look and give me your feedback!) and emailed my clients to fill them in on the latest in terms of how covid is affecting their work with me along with some solutions.

I say all of this not to complain, but to level with you: there is a part of me that wants to give up, eat ice cream, and watch Netflix for the rest of this evening

…along with the part of me that says, If I’m feeling this way, SOMEONE else must be, and I can let them know they’re not alone.

So hello, friend who is feeling digitally overwhelmed in this strange period of our lives.

I see you (through this tiny screen). I hear you (in all the ways you’re trying to help others and survive yourself). And I support you (even if it’s just a quick “like” or an emoji).

if you’re feeling overwhelmed, here are three things to do that take less than one minute

  1. Give yourself a hug. A big one. You can simply wrap your arms around yourself, or you can lie down and pull your knees in for a giant hug. Just hug yourself — longer than you want to — until you feel yourself melt a bit.

  2. Close your eyes, place your palms over your eyes (obviously after you’ve washed your hands) and BREATHE. Breathe a lot. More than you think you should.

  3. Sitting, standing, or lying down, put one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly. Breathe in deeply through your nose, exhale all the air out sharply (only if other people aren’t around. If they are, make sure you have your mouth covered).

I hope these quick tips were helpful for your body, mind, and soul. I am going to leave you with three more things (because it is what-I-wore-Wednesday after all)

  1. I am taking preorders for some cute Foxy FIT shirts! You can order through 4/30 (delivery late May).

Ladies, the men’s tee is super soft and oversized tees feel super comfy to me these days.

2. The perfect Quarantine Queen 👸🏼 pants: lululemon aligns. So soft, with a high waist for all the cookies I’ve been consuming (a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!).

I rave about these tights constantly. I wear them constantly. If I thought I could get away with purchasing these camo super high rise leggings, I would (anyone want to convince Brian I need another pair?).

as a member of the lululemon collective, I will receive a small commission if you make a purchase through my link by clicking the button below. Thank you for your support.

3. Finally, the Be At Ease Poncho (anyone else wish the name of their clothing would rub off on their mood? Just me? Cool). I’m cuddled up in it in this photo of how I thought quarantine would be….

I’ve paired it with aligns, by the way. This next photo shows the back — I adore the bum coverage. Better yet, this poncho is actually on markdown!

Thank you for all the ways you show up and support me. I love you all…..and I’m here for you! We are going to get through this, together.
