Last weekend, I conducted a poll on Instagram to see how many people had a zoom video function scheduled.

Unsurprisingly, every respondent answered “yes.”

In the US, we are now more than six months deep into some version of physically distanced life. The majority of business, social gatherings, meetings, workouts, and other daily life activities are occurring online—for an undetermined amount of time.

Zoom fatigue, a term to express the stressors of online gatherings, is a concern for many. I enjoyed this TED article on Zoom fatigue and have linked it HERE.

Zoom fatigue is a modern obstacle, yet with mindfulness we can provide the restful break we so desperately need.

Today’s mindful minute is a simple breathing tool to aid you in finding focus in the moment.

Try it, right now. Whatever you’re doing, take one minute to do this exercise.

Remember that you can always download the slide and save it to your phone (when we’re stressed, we will not naturally remember to be mindful!).

Today’s mindful minute exercise is a centering breathwork exercise.

Now that you have practiced the tool . . .

What do you notice?

Try to answer without judgement. Whatever you notice is simply what you noticed; it’s not right, wrong, or indifferent.

Can you make a reminder to yourself to do this once a day this week??
