hi friends!

I have a confession to make….

This is a hard feature for me to write!!

I know—I’m confused by this, too.

I’m featuring an incredible human today, and I have been thinking about writing her introduction for oh about six months, believe it or not!

“Hey Mallory, isn’t your blog like five months old?”

Yes.

Have I mentioned I’m a recovering perfectionist and over-thinker???

This woman is the first person I thought to feature, when lemonLOVES was just a crazy idea in my head.

In fact, this woman has a lot to do with my growth in the past two years:

  • she encouraged me not to play small by “only” blogging about lululemon clothes (she knew I wanted to tackle bigger topics and have more I want to say)

  • she has connected me to so many women I have grown with and learned with

  • she gave me a platform to share my story. And continues to do so for thousands of women. Her life purpose is to help women get out of their own way and into action around their big goals—I am a living testament to her efficacy!

  • she trusted me when I didn’t trust myself

  • she empowered me to dream like a unicorn (you have her to thank for the “unicorn brainstorming” questions!)

  • she was the first person to teach me “we aren’t meant to do this alone” and actually convince me of it 😂

I met this passionate, inspired, creative, big-hearted powerhouse through lululemon (duh!).

I was intimidated at first. Her photo was up on the wall in the store (I wanted that!), she had just published a book (I wanted that!) and she is just the brightest human I have ever met (I wanted that!).

I was intimidated and jealous.

All of that dissipated when I met her, because she exudes love for people. That’s her superpower. Because when she talks, I feel like she knows me.

I have learned so much from this woman. I think the most valuable thing that I attempt to practice every single day is to get out of my own way.

Today, I got in my way big time by putting pressure on myself to write the “perfect” intro.

Thats impossible.

The trick to getting out of one’s own way is to remember who I am serving (AKA, it’s not about me).

I reminded myself of this, several times in Lindsey’s own voice in my head (okay fine, I also re-listened to one of her podcasts to kick myself out of my funk: click HERE to listen).

It brought me back to this: I’m introducing this incredible woman to you because she has been the number one contributor to my growth (in business, speaking, and self development) in the past two years. I would not be who I am today without her presence in my life, and I am so grateful.

This is a woman you need to know.
