My Latest Obsession : GRRRL Clothing FIT Review

I have a confession to make

I have been cheating on lululemon.

I’ve existed in athleisure almost exclusively for the past fifteen years, thanks in part to my profession. I’ve become an activewear aficionado which eventually led me to start this blog.

Inevitably, I’ve tried many activewear brands but always come back to lululemon for the fit, function, quality, and culture.

However . . . I’ve found a new (to me) brand that I am obsessed with for how they show up for women in this world. lululemon has a lot to learn in this arena!

The pledge

Please read this pledge. If goosebumps form on your body, you’ll know how I feel too!

Body acceptance

Over the last couple of years, I’ve worked to improve my relationship with my body. Whether you have known me for a lifetime or if this is your first time meeting me, I’m happy you’re on this journey with me.

GRRRL Clothing is a stand for who I aim to be in this often challenging fitness world.

If their pledge spoke to you or intrigued you, please check out their website to see for yourself what they’re up to (linked below). I share highlights but their verbiage is powerful and should be experienced on their page.

In today’s post, I am including:

  • a summary card of the FIT review

  • nine exercises I recommend in your new gear

  • a video where I highlight the product in motion

  • some links to purchase online.

If you do choose to make a purchase through these links, know that your purchase supports this blog and my mission to bring health and wellness education, mindfulness tools, and movement to as many people as possible.

I so appreciate your support!

Fit = Function, Inspiration, Technical Elements

Function:

  • Athleisure

  • Empowering/fun prints + graphic tees

  • Athletic wear for all athletes

Inspiration:

GRRRL’s Vision, courtesy of their website.

“To bring together an army of women to fight for each other, like family, to collectively create a world where women are free and liberated to be their best versions of themselves. Regardless of ethnicity, body type, beliefs, religion or abilities.”

  • Non-traditional sizing. Instead of a number or designation, women pick the athletes who match their measurements.

I am obsessed with this. I wish all brands did this! If you go to their website, be sure to read about their sizing.

I wear an Amanda Heather in leggings and an Ali in tops.

Fun fact: the Heather whose size I share is a Highland Games champion AND also a patient of my physical therapist!

Technical elements:

  • Squat proof! Leggings are thick and opaque.

  • Designed for wrestlers, powerlifters, and other pursuits.
