Countless modern scientific studies have agreed that movement or physical activity is the most important factor in living a long, healthy life.

Even knowing this, I’ve certainly struggled to move my body during this pandemic.

Can anyone relate?

Knowing that I can’t go to the gym, it’s 100 degrees in Phoenix, and I’m suddenly doing all of my work at the computer has been a huge lifestyle shift.

that is why I make an appointment with myself each day to move my body.

Mindful movement is at the heart of this blog, and my work as a human movement professional.

What is mindful movement?

I’m so glad you asked!

Mindful movement is simply bringing intention to your body in motion. It’s movement without a goal, without blame or shame, and simply designed to nurture your body, mind, and spirit.

Mindful movement can be running.

Mindful movement can be yoga.

Mindful movement can be boxing.
