SNEAK PEEK: brands I adore by powerhouse women

When you support small business, you directly impact lives

I have owned a small business for over seven years, and have firsthand experience with the excitement that comes from people supporting my business. Whether someone refers my services to a friend, leaves a supportive comment, provides constructive criticism, or makes a purchase, each and every ounce of support means the world to me.

That is why, when I started this blog, I knew that sharing other businesses I love would be at the heart of what I do.

Today’s post is a sneak peek of women-owned businesses I have personally patronized. I love them, I support them; I know you will love them and hope you support them in whatever way you can.

Lady changemakers

Jess, founder of Lady Changemakers, introduced her business to me as “Yelp for Women”. I completely love this. I have a listing in her directory and have referred a bunch of other women-owned businesses to her listing service. Please check it out and consider filling your needs from her list!

I featured Lady Changemakers in a previous blog post. You can catch up here!

coffee over cardio

I love coffee and hate cardio, so I knew I’d love this company from the moment I found it.

Founded by Abbey Scott, Coffee Over Cardio is good quality caffeine with a twist of humor. I love the convenience of the K Cups, and the flexibility of the pre-ground coffee selection (you can even purchase a reusable K Cup to be eco friendly!).

A coffee blend that matches my hair? Yes please. Messy Bun Cinnamon is my jam!

gorjana

Gorjana Griffin Riedel, among with her husband Jason, started their California-inspired jewelry line in 2004. I met the gorjana family in December 2019, when they opened their store in Scottsdale Quarter. I loved their simple, classic, jewelry with intention.

I featured gorjana in a previous blog post. You can catch up here!

This simple gold bracelet with a rose quartz heart charm is paired with a Compassion bracelet from their Power Gemstone line.

Rescue kit co

I met Risa of RiStyle Consulting exactly one year ago. She quickly became my style fairy godmother. Along with her sister, she launched a new venture this year. With a long history as a stylist, she has MacGyvered solutions on the fly for thousands of people. She has put all of the innovation, know-how, and fairy dust into The Rescue Kit.

The latest Kit is going to rock your world. I am reviewing the Closet Kit Friday, so be sure to check back! Believe me when I say that everyone needs the new Closet Kit!

I featured The Rescue Kit Company in a previous blog post. You can catch up here!

My micro Rescue Kit, which has saved me on-the-go!

sage Aubrey

What I love most about Sage Aubrey is that she highlights the Woman over the Wardrobe. She is an advocate for elevating all women, and puts her money where her mouth is with charitable partnerships. She is also hilarious and authentic on Instagram and real life!

This Friday, I’ll be sharing a special SA bag with you all! I’m in love with it!

I’ve featured Sage Aubrey in a few previous blog posts. You can catch up on her feature here!

I love my “Woman” tee by Sage Aubrey. I also love hanging egg chairs.

Naked rebellion

I heard the hype about Naked Rebellion and had to try their skin-colored offerings (but I’m not sharing photos of my undies!).

Naked Rebellion believes that every woman deserves to have options that match her skin tone—so they do!

The sparkle bar

Color me obsessed with The Sparkle Bar! Scottsdale’s exclusive makeup studio is fun and fancy—in the best of ways!

The Sparkle Bar recently reopened after being shut down for Covid, and I can’t wait to go back. My makeup appointments with Eli are like a therapy/motivational session where I leave feeling beautiful. In the meantime, I will be reviewing their Self Care Kit right here (and on Instagram!) this Friday!

Fun fact: Alex Bradberry, founder of TSB, is speaking at the Powerhouse Women virtual experience Saturday!

Getting my glam on at last year’s Pajamas and Prosecco party!

Simple jane co

I started using Simple Jane one year ago, thanks to Powerhouse Women. In the past year, their line and the two women who created it have become such a rock in my life.

I featured Simple Jane Co in several previous blog posts, including a favorite feature with founder Chelsea Hamilton (you’ll want to meet the mother-daughter team behind Simple Jane!). You can catch up here!

Jayne collection

I was skeptical when told that the Jayne Collection’s pajamas were the softest thing ever . . . And then I tried them on! They are luxurious.

Even more important, they are made BY women (in Tempe AZ), FOR women, and BENEFIT women (owner Pamela donates a portion of all proceeds to women’s charities).

I’m wearing the robe in the GIF below, and highly recommend the convertible sleep pants!

one imaginary girl

Designer Sarah Donofrio of One Imaginary Girl has talent, innovation, and a lot of colorful designs to choose from!

I wore my gorgeous blazer for the final day of Event Luv with these two incredible women, Lindsey Schwartz and Lori Harder, as it seemed only fitting that I celebrate women with my clothing, too.

I’m wearing One Imaginary Girl’s canvas blazer in the girl gang print!

powerhouse women

Finally, the reason I’ve met all of these female business owners: you guessed it, Powerhouse Women!

I have featured the Powerhouse Women community in several previous blog posts—I’m completely obsessed. You can meet the founder, Lindsey, by clicking here!

I would be remiss if I didn’t share one final blog post with you. The title of this post says it all: Why you need to be in the room for Powerhouse Women 2020
