today’s exercise
When I’m tired or stressed, I nearly always feel “tight” in my thoracic spine. One scientific reason for this is that our muscles that assist with respiration (breathing) live in and around the thoracic tissue. When we are stressed, our breathing patterns change. This can lead to less mobility and a “tight” sensation.
Today’s exercise is one of my go-to movements when my thoracic spine needs relief. Give it a try, and be sure to focus on your breath!
