Meet Rachel Masser of Tailored Bites!
I Am not at all embarrassed to tell you that I stalked this woman’s Instagram for weeks before I reached out.
That is not usually how I meet people, but it is 2020 after all!
After my traumatic brain injury and eyesight loss, my world turned upside down for over a year and a half (and still feels this way today, at times).
With all of the medications, medical concerns, and symptoms, my body changed, a lot. On the outside as well as on the inside.
I knew that I needed assistance with a balanced diet in order to help me live a healthy life.
I wanted an overhaul on my health, not a quick fix or weight-loss solution. I knew my brain needed healthy, balanced nutrients to nurture me back to health.

Did I mention that I don’t cook?? With continuing efforts to minimize strain for my brain and eyes I needed to have someone take over all the elements (making a plan, making a grocery list, going to the grocery store, prepping, cooking, portioning out the food).
I also needed it to fit my budget and be someone I could trust.
I found all of that and more in Rachel
I could go on and on about my positive experience working with Rachel but since that is not the emphasis of this post, I will hold that for another time. I’ll close with this: Rachel is incredibly kind, caring, and smart. Within the first few moments of our phone conversation, I felt relief and hope. She is incredibly good at what she does and her heart shines through in each (tailored) bite.
Meet Rachel!

Tell us about this one thing you can't live without!
I am not sure if any mother has ever been able to put in words how she really feels about her daughter, but my daughter is such a sweet and kind little woman and nothing brings me more joy and content ness then seeing her happy and smiling.
How do you practice kindness to your body?
I have not mastered all of these but I practice kindness to my body by trying to speak as kindly to it as possible, nourish it with health promoting foods as well as foods that nourish my soul, move it daily, and more recently been working on more mindfulness practices with the help of Mallory!
(note: as I said, Rachel is so kind.)
What else do you want to share with our community?
We have a couple great things coming up in May including a DIY Mother’s Day Brunch Bundle that can be purchased from our website and then created at home with family and loved ones in celebration of Mother’s Day.
And we are rolling out a free bi-monthly cooking series that will air on IG TV 5/7 and 5/21.
I am passionate about empowering others with their nutrition and lifestyle so they can be proactive with their health in a balanced and sustainable manner.
final question: I asked, how can we support you?
Readers can support us by utilizing or recommending our prepared meal service, nutrition counseling, or corporate nutrition services.
Food and nutrition is foundational and truly does have an impact on our overall health and wellbeing.
At TB we are here to serve our clients with any nutrition needs. We do this through our
balanced prepared meal service,
medical nutrition therapy and
nutrition counseling,
nutrition education,
promotion,
cooking classes, and more!
We love our clients and honestly most of them feel like family. It's nice to see clients coming and going as needed with our different services.
My hope is one day we as a society get to a point where we visit our registered dietitian on an annual basis and when big life events happen (adolescence, pregnancy, menopause, medical condition diagnosis, being put on a medication, etc.).
Our nutrition needs continue to evolve as we evolve and taking care of our nutrition is one way of being proactive with our health. So even spreading the word about nutrition and the true impact it has on our health and wellbeing would be helpful!
I’ll leave you with these delicious spinach protein muffins (I like to sneak my veggies in, thanks to Rachel!)
As always, thank you for reading. I cannot more highly recommend Rachel and Tailored Bites to you.
Make sure you check out her offerings, and follow along on Instagram!
