Meet Janelle Hettick, Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Happy Friday, friends!

Today, I’m grateful for this blog to remind me what day it is and to be able to highlight wonderful humans!

Today’s feature is on a woman who I met through the Powerhouse Women community—click HERE to join us this year virtually! Like most of my friendships over the last year, I met her online first.

Partly due to this particular woman’s influence, my perspective on Internet friends has completely changed. This woman has a gift for empowering, advocating, supporting, and cheerleading all women. She embodies #WomenSupportingWomen as more than just a hashtag. She is authentic, courageous, and compassionate. She is someone whose Instagram stories I search for when I need to be reminded that it’s okay to be human.

I hope that you follow her on social media, subscribe to her blog, become her internet friend, and ultimately get to know her in real life, too.

What lights you up inside?

What lights me up the most is making a difference in someones live. In a big way or a small way. Watching my clients light up and discover their power fuels me.

Janelle is like a walking ray of sunshine!

Tell us about this one thing you can't live without!

How do you practice kindness to your body?

By loving and accepting myself as I am. I may not have the body I want, but I accept myself. Change does not come from hating yourself, it comes from loving yourself.

Love yourself, as you are. I struggle with this and so appreciate women who are honest that they do, too!
